Zopf / Tresse

You cannot buy it anywhere here, but you cannot survive without it.

1 kg unbleached white all purpose flour
1 tbsp salt
6 dl milk
1 egg slightly beaten
1 stick unsalted butter
1 tbsp sugar
4 tsp dry yeast

Warm milk, desolve sugar and yeast in milk
mix flour and salt
add milk mixure,softened butter and 1/2 egg
let rise for two hours (cover with damped cloth)
form and bake for 25 to 40min at 400 farenheit.
