I hope this message finds you well. It is difficult to think of anything
else right now, but I thought that this could be of interest for some of
you.
Please find herewith a job description as a development scientist in cell
pharmacology. The company is located in New Jersey and is the acknowledged
global leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of innovative
and unique products to detect and monitor biomolecular binding. Their
systems are used in the drug discovery industry, life science research as
well as the food analysis markets.
This position involving instrumentation, assays, and customer
collaborations, will allow you to develop new applications using exciting
technology.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop new applications in Cell Pharmacology domain, based on customer
needs
- Initiate and manage collaborations with customers for the development of
new applications
- Complete development and testing of instruments prior to beta-testing
- Transfer knowledge of technology and new applications to field scientists
- Setup and manage application database
- Setup and run cell pharmacology laboratory
Ph.D. preferred, M.S. required, in cell biology, pharmacology, or related
field. Four to eight years experience in pharmacology or drug screening
laboratory within pharma/biotech industry, or within applications and
systems development in the scientific instrumentation industry. Your
experience with GPCR and ion channel assays is essential.
Position initially based in New Jersey. Potential relocation to Europe
(with ambitions to bring this position in Switzerland) within 12 months.
Approximately 30% travel required.
