About your car, the easiest would be to ask the DMV (Department of
Motor Vehicle) for a referee. The referee would check your car and
advise you on the change that must be done. The referee will give you
the DMV reference number for your car. Also as soon as your car is in
California you should just announce it to the DMV, it will save you a
couple of $$. They are crazy here; you must register your car before
you!
