Okay, thanks everyone who contacted me off-line to give me some
constructive suggestions... I will egoistically elect to keep my wine
for my own use, so won't be inviting the swiss list to my house for
"emptying the stocks"... Nice try.
Meanwhile, I got up at ungodly hours to call the swiss customs and ask
them, so I can answer my own questions, hopefully for the benefit of
others as well:
- forbidden: animal & vegetal things prohibited by Washigton
convention (for example, no elephant ivory "defense" (right word?), no
protected flowers, etc.)
- wine: everything's okay up to 200 liters.
- strong alchool: everything above 25 degrees; okay up to 12 liters.
- no restriction on chemical products (cleaning supplies, etc.),
although I assume common sense should prevail, ie no explosives nor
entertainment substances...
Have a good week,
Pierre
