Hi,
You fall into an interesting situation: You live abroad for IRS purposes,
yet are considered a resident by the INS.
You don't need a W2 when you file as a foreign resident. Just apply the
appropriate amount, deduct the $70,000 or so dollars you are entitled to and
that's it!
I think you are doing the right thing: Benefit from the exclusion, yet
still filing as you consider yourself a "resident". Intend is 90% of the
law, and should the INS ever bother you, you can always claim you filed with
intend to return, thus anchoring your place of permanent domicile. Quelle
bordel!
