Howdy, neighbor!

 

This is notoriously difficult, as is finding a job here with a
non-US-education but I like your translations and if you were to look at a
private sector opportunity I don't think you have to have an accredited
translation - just a) use your translations in your resume and b) tell them
what you've learned during the interview. This is what I've done so far, and
it's never been a problem. Many jobs in the government sector would not be
accessible to a non-US citizen anyway.

 

I have a lic.phil. I in Linguistics, English and American Literature,
History and Philosophy. I translate it as 2 Master's and one Bachelor's
degrees in my resume and have had no problem explaining to anybody why I
spent eight years of my life at university. The official translation I got
from the University of Zurich has never been used.
